The Netherlands has been a generous and welcoming host to many Ukrainians over the years, providing a safe haven for those who have been forced to flee their homeland due to the Russian war in Ukraine. The Dutch government has played a crucial role in supporting refugees and asylum seekers, and many Dutch people have also shown their support by providing assistance and resources to Ukrainian newcomers. 100 000 Ukrainians in the Netherlands have now become an integral part of Dutch society.

 

However, the culture and traditions of Ukraine are still relatively unknown to many Dutch people. The same problem is on the other side. Ukrainians in the Netherlands are feeling a lack of knowledge and awareness about Dutch culture. We believe that this cultural divide can be bridged through the establishment of a Dutch-Ukrainian cultural hub, which would serve as a platform for cultural exchange and exploration.
